To change the DNS on Android 9 and Newer
Let’s see how to change DNS on Android 9 and newer, remember it doesn’t affect if you use VPN.
- Open Settings and go to Network & Internet.
- Now tap on Advanced to expand the menu and tap on Private DNS, if’s selected Automatic then tap on Private DNS provider hostname to change DNS.
- Now in the box type TLS hostname (Not standard IPV4 address) and tap on Save.

Changing DNS on older Android it’s a little bit complicated because the older android version doesn’t allow changing DNS servers for cellular networks so you will have to configure network information manually. Let’s see how to do that.
